Iceland promotes Iceland responsible fishing at Icefish 2011
At the every 3 year Icefish exhibition government and industry were promoting Iceland’s responsible fishing certification which certifies Icelandic fisheries to the FAO responsible fishing standard using Global Trust as a certifier. Cod has been certified saithe and redfish will be soon and over 90 companies in the EU and Iceland are now participating thru chain of custody interest or thru use of the label.
